<p>A barrier unit for avoiding such a visual defect that the ends of blades brought into contact with each other are vertically displaced and the defective operation of the blades due to the overlapping of the blades when the blades of the barrier unit for protecting the lenses of an imaging device are closed. The barrier unit comprises a base having a first opening part, a cover which has a second opening part and which is so disposed that the second opening part faces to the first opening part, and the plurality of blades openably installed at the first opening part and the second opening part between the base and the cover. The gap (e) between the base and the cover near a first position where the ends of the blades are brought into contact with each other when the blades are closed is smaller than the gap (d) between the base and the cover at a second position different from the first position.</p> |
