<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of applying a liquid material having no use for the calculation of complicated parameters and free from affecting the moving speed of a discharge part, an apparatus for the same and a program for the same. <P>SOLUTION: The applying method of discharging the liquid material from a nozzle while moving the nozzle and a workpiece relatively and applying a fixed quantity of the liquid material on the workpiece includes an initial parameter set step of: defining the number of times of sending the discharge pulse signal or the stoppage pulse signal as the number of total pulses, defining the number of discharge pulse signals required to attain the coating quantity in the number of total pulses and defining the remains as the stoppage pulse signals; a correcting quantity calculation step of: measuring the discharge quantity from the nozzle in the time of correction period and calculating the correction of the discharge quantity; and the discharge quantity correcting step of: adjusting the number of the discharge pulse signals and the number of stoppage pulse signals based on the calculated correction quantity in the correcting quantity calculation step.
