PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and precisely evaluate the traffic performance of a CSMA/CA-based tree multi-hop wireless network.

SOLUTION: A system for evaluating the traffic performance of a multi-hop wireless network includes a first means for estimating a traffic performance index around each node of the multi-hop wireless network as regarding the network as a combination of a plurality of single-hop wireless networks, and a second means for determining a traffic performance index of the whole multi-hop wireless network from the estimation results of all the nodes by the first means.
