<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network monitoring system and a network monitoring method which are capable of quickly detecting an unauthorized connection by detecting a physical address in a short time and of preventing omission of physical address detection by acquiring the physical address before its deletion from a table of a network device even in the case of a short network connection time of a terminal, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: In a network monitoring system, the network device generates a table associating physical address information and network address information with each other when relaying data, and a connection information acquisition device acquires a DNS request transmitted from a transmission source terminal device and analyzes the DNS request to acquire network address information of the transmission source and inquires of a table of a corresponding network device by the use of a prescribed network protocol to acquire physical address information associated with the network address information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
