PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push-button switch in which even in the case a large impact is applied by falling or the like, breakage or pealing-off from a mother board does not occur, and a mounting space at the time of surface-mounting on the mother board can be suppressed. SOLUTION: In the push-button switch 21 equipped with a base part 22 in which the switching part consisting of a fixed contact and a movable contact is formed, a cover body 24 that covers above this base part 22 and has an aperture 42 in one side face, and a switching operation member 25 that presses the movable contact downward by sliding in the horizontal direction inside the aperture 42, side plate parts 36 are formed in the cover body 24 extending downward along side faces of the base part in the right and left sides crossing at right angle a sliding direction of the switching operation member 25, while at the lower end part of these side plate parts 36, cover fixing parts 38 are formed neighboring to a soldering pad part 41 prepared on the under face of the base part 22.
