PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of dispensing with maintenance by automatically regenerating a deodorizing filter, and surely preventing an odorous component removed from the deodorizing filter from released indoors again in regenerating the deodorizing filter. SOLUTION: In this air conditioner 1 comprising a ventilating means 23 provided with the deodorizing filter 12 capable of being regenerated by heating, and a heating means 14 for regenerating the deodorizing filter 12 in an air flow channel 9 in a housing 4 comprising an indoor air suction opening 5 and a supply opening 6 for supplying the conditioned-air indoors, and discharging the odorous component removed from the deodorizing filter 12 outdoors, a shutter mechanism 18 forming a closed space 22 closed in regenerating the deodorizing filter 12 and shielded from the air flow channel 9, is disposed at an upper part of the deodorizing filter 12, and the ventilating means 23 is connected with the closed space 22 formed by the shutter mechanism 18.
