PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cogeneration apparatus improved in total efficiency by suppressing generation of surplus electricity or the like as small as possible. SOLUTION: Power demand in an electrical load and thermal demand in a thermal load are detected (S10, S20), driving of an actuator (an electric motor for a throttle) for opening and closing a throttle valve of an internal combustion engine is controlled in response to the detected power demand to control engine rotation speed of the internal combustion engine (S12 to S18), and ignition timing of the internal combustion engine is controlled in response to the detected thermal demand (S22, S24).
