PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an idling stop vehicle using two lead acid batteries, excellent in cost and mountability. SOLUTION: This start control device for the idling stop vehicle includes a main electricity accumulating means supplying electric power to an electric load of the vehicle during idling stop, an auxiliary electricity accumulating means of lower capacity than that of the main electricity accumulating means, a high temperature engine start means (S4) starting or restarting the engine by supplying electric power of the auxiliary electricity accumulating means to a starter motor when the ambient temperature is higher than a prescribed temperature, a low temperature engine start means (S3) starting the engine by supplying electric power of the main electricity accumulating means to the starter motor when the ambient temperature is lower than the prescribed temperature, and a first idling stop prohibition means (S7) prohibiting idling stop.
