PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device, which can cut off a material to be recorded after the completion of recording effectively at a desired position with requiring no man power. SOLUTION: This image forming device is equipped with an image forming part 1 for recording a material to be recorded based on image information and a take-up mechanism 3 for taking-up the recorded material to be recorded. A cutter means 6 for cutting-off the material to be recorded is arranged near or in a part of the take-up mechanism. The image forming part 1 includes a paper feeding means for feeding paper by unrolling the roll-like material to be rewound and a rewinding means for enabling to rewind the rewound material to be recorded. The material to be recorded is cut off with the cutter means 6 without being contacted with the installing surface of the device in cooperation with the take-up mechanism 3 and the rewinding means.
