Upon detection of a forced termination signal among signals from a kernel (110) which monitors operation status of a process (120) by referring to operation contents of the process (120), an information processing unit (100) acquires information on the operation contents of the process (120) which are referred to by the kernel (110) upon detection of the forced termination signal to store the acquired information on a memory (130) as signal information (131). Stored signal information (131) is referred to at the time of verification of cause of forced termination. Further, upon reception of inquiry about a process subject to forced termination, the information processing unit (100) can also retrieve information on the operation contents of the process (120) which accepts the inquiry from the memory (130) to output such information.
