摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently concentrating triglyceride of highly unsaturated fatty acid such as eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid by a simple process at low cost without changing the triglyceride. <P>SOLUTION: A substance containing highly unsaturated fatty acid triglyceride is brought into contact with a lower alcohol solution containing cupric salt and metallic copper so that the highly unsaturated fatty acid triglyceride is dissolved in the alcohol solution as a cuprous complex to be concentrated. Furthermore, if necessary, the lower alcohol solution of the cuprous complex of the highly unsaturated fatty acid triglyceride is filtered/centrifuged to remove an alcohol solvent, extraction treatment with supercritical carbon dioxide is carried out, and then, refinement is carried out by distillation under reduced pressure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
