PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece conveying device capable of conveying a tuning fork type workpiece without dropping the workpiece over a workpiece conveying surface of the workpiece conveying device, and a workpiece conveying system using the same. SOLUTION: While a turning fork type workpiece (a turning fork type crystal piece or the like) 2 is placed across a workpiece conveying surface 11a of a workpiece conveying device 11, a fore end of a turning fork part 2a of the workpiece 2 is held in a catching manner by two plate-like pieces 12a of a workpiece holding mechanism 12, and in this state, the plate-like pieces 12a are circulated at the equal speed to the workpiece conveying speed in the conveying direction of the workpiece 2 so as to follow up the movement of the workpiece 2. The workpiece 2 does not fall in the longitudinal direction during the conveyance or drop over the workpiece conveying surface 11a since the plate-like pieces 12a of the workpiece holding mechanism 12 work as a stopper to regulate the movement in the longitudinal direction. Thus, the conveying efficiency of the workpiece 2 is enhanced, and any breakage of the workpiece 2 itself caused by the dropping shock is avoided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
