PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a traveling fuel consumption of a vehicle at an appropriate timing and with an appropriate method. SOLUTION: A navigation device determines whether to inform a traveling fuel consumption of a vehicle by making a determination in accordance with a variety of conditions (steps S10, S50, S100, and S150), and calculates a traveling fuel consumption of a variety of types of vehicles (steps S20, S60, S110, and S130). When it determines that a traveling fuel consumption should be informed, it informs a calculated traveling fuel consumption via a voice (steps S30, S70, S120, and S160).
