PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust deviation of a seam image between line image sensors with reference to a marker for correcting position by a simple configuration. SOLUTION: In an image reading device 200 comprising lenses 250A and 250B for forming a document image at a document read position A, a plurality of line image sensors 230A and 230B arranged in the main scanning direction and reading the document image while overlapping in the main scanning direction, reflective members 191, 192A, 192B, 193A and 193B for introducing reflected light to the line image sensors 230A and 230B, and an image synthesis means 260 for linking image data, a marker 270 for correcting position is arranged at the marker read position B of a contact glass 210, and a reflective member 291 can be rocked by means of a motor 320 and a drive member 330 to change the read position of the line image sensors 230A and 230B between the document read position A and the marker read position B.
