PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting mechanism of a steering device capable of preventing an elastic member for supporting the steering device by a vehicle body from falling during the transportation and assembling without increasing production cost, preventing the durability of the elastic member from being lowered, and enabling the easy adjustment of the spring characteristics of the steering device against the vehicle body. SOLUTION: This supporting mechanism of a steering device includes a first elastic member 21 press-fitted between the inner periphery of a through-hole 3a formed in the housing 3 of the steering device and the outer periphery of a cylindrical member 11 inserted into the through-hole 3a; a plate-like second elastic member 22 covering the housing 3 around one end of the cylindrical member 11; and a third elastic member 23 covering the housing 3 around the other end of the cylindrical member 11. A projection 22b formed on the second elastic member 22 is inserted into a recess 3b formed at the portion of housing 3 which is covered by the second elastic member 22. The supporting mechanism further includes an extraction restricting means 3b' for restricting the extraction of the projection 22b from the recess 3b in the recess 3b. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
