PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress frame-like artifacts generated in the distortion correction processing of images picked up in an MRI apparatus. SOLUTION: After applying the distortion correction processing to the images picked up in the MRI apparatus, binary images are prepared by a threshold derived by a discrimination analysis method for the images, a Gaussian filter is applied to the binary images according to a set filter range parameter and mask images are prepared. By determining a pixel value according to a threshold specified by the pixel value of the prepared mask images, the frame-like artifacts generated in the distortion correction processing of the images picked up in the MRI apparatus are suppressed.
