摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patient positioning apparatus capable of accurately positioning a patient in a short time in radiation therapy. SOLUTION: The patient positioning apparatus comprises: a second image generation part 39 for generating two-dimensional conversion image information when seeing through a patient in a fixed direction from a fixed place on the basis of three-dimensional CT images for making a treatment plan; a reference image information acquisition part 43 for acquiring two-dimensional reference see-through image information for which the patient is imaged during treatment; a second comparison part 45 for calculating the similarity degree of converted images and reference see-through images; a determination part 49 for determining whether or not the similarity degree is a threshold or the less; and a shift amount calculation part 50 for calculating the position of the patient at which a predetermined irradiation part can be irradiated with radiation for the treatment from a predetermined irradiation direction on the basis of the place and direction of generating the converted images when the similarity degree is equal to or less than the threshold. When the similarity degree is larger than the threshold, the second image generation part 39 repeatedly generates the converted image changing at least one of the place and the direction until it is determined that the similarity degree is equal to or less than the threshold.
