The optoelectronic component (100) has a stack of semiconductor layers (101) which have an active layer (102) suitable for producing an electromagnetic radiation and a main surface (103) for extracting the radiation. The stack of semiconductor layers surrounds a recess (104), and has a flank (105) for reflection of a part of the radiation at the recess in a direction of the main surface. The flank is inclined in relation to the main surface. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing an optoelectronic component.
