The present invention relates to an HDMI connection method wherein detection and supply of a transmitter (2) device in a controlled manner by a receiver (1) device, which have HDMI connection therebetween, is enabled by the use of the reserved pin no. 14 or pin no. 18 of the HDMI connector.
