<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently calculate a displacement for preventing shading characteristics from deteriorating so as to satisfactorily follow CRA characteristics, with respect to a solid-state image pickup element which has high nonlinearity of CRA characteristics (main light beam incidence angle characteristics) of an image pickup lens. <P>SOLUTION: A CRA sample point acquisition unit 102 inputs CRA characteristic values 101 to acquire two to five sample points 106 among them. A sample point displacement calculation unit 103 finds a sample point displacement 107 for maximizing light condensing rate through optical simulation by a light beam tracking method among sample points of the CRA characteristic values 101 obtained by the CRA sample point acquisition unit 102. A displacement characteristic function calculation unit 104 calculates a displacement characteristic function 108 approximated by an n-th function (n≥2) based upon sample point displacement 107 of a plurality of sample points calculated by the sample point displacement calculation unit 103.
