WHEEL BEARING WITH SENSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing with a sensor capable of accurately detecting loads on a wheel without being affected by rolling elements.

SOLUTION: In the wheel bearing, rolling elements 5 are interposed between double-row rolling contact surfaces 3 and 4 opposed to each other of an external member 1 and an internal member 2. One or more sensor unit 20 are provided for a fixed-side member 1 in the external member 1 and the internal member 2. The sensor unit 20 includes a distortion generating member 21 having two or more contact fixed parts 21a in contact with and fixed to the fixed-side member and two or more sensors 22A and 22B mounted to the distortion generating member 21 for detecting distortions of the distortion generating member. The two or more contact fixed parts 21a are arranged at a location in the same axial direction in an external-diameter surface of the fixed-side member at intervals in a circumferential direction. The wheel bearing is provided with an estimation means 30 for estimating loads acting on the wheel bearing on the basis of the sum of output signals A and B of the two or more sensors 22A and 22B.
