<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology wherein a display-swing motion, or a motion to return it to a vertical can be easily carried out even when one hand holding no portable device is full. <P>SOLUTION: The automatic swing mechanism is constituted so that the display of a folding portable device is swung automatically from side to side. In the mechanism, pulleys are provided to a swing cam which is rotatable, vertically movable, and fixes the display.
