摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that an electrode plate made by the conventional method is too expensive and can not be put to practical use on a commercial scale. <P>SOLUTION: A method of making a carbon-reinforced absorptive non-sacrificial electrode includes the steps of: dissolving resorcinol in formaldehyde to form a liquor; mixing the liquor with a carbon reinforcing agent to produce broth; heating the broth at sufficient temperature and for a sufficient time while controlling the consistency of the broth so that the carbon reinforcing agent is not precipitated in the broth; pouring the resulting broth to the thickness of at least 3 mm; curing the poured broth at sufficient temperature and for a sufficient time so that the broth becomes a solid; and firing the obtained solid at sufficient temperature and for a sufficient time to carbonize the solid and forming the carbonized solid into an electrically conductive plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p>
