<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network apparatus capable of identifying which application a processing request refused because the application is set in an OFF state is for; its control method, a program, and a memory medium image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus connected to a PC through a network includes a function to monitor a packet transmitted and received between the PC and the image forming apparatus, detect a refusal packet which refuses the processing request transmitted by the image forming apparatus with respect to processing requests from the PC out of the packets to monitor, recognize the port number of the request destination of the processing request, and specify an application corresponding to the recognized port number as the application of the request destination of the processing request.
