<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely specify the input position of a plurality of contact objects. <P>SOLUTION: Under the control of lighting scanning by a control part, the rays of light from a light emitting body 3 installed in a whole area corresponding to a touch area 2a on a face side opposite to a touch area 2a of a light guide plate 2 are made incident to the light guide plate 2, and scattered rays of light corresponding to the contact of the contact object such as the fingertip with the touch area 2a are received by a light receiving element 4 installed along one side of the light guide plate 2.
