PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction pipe structure of an internal combustion engine capable of certainly locking the connection part between a connecting tube and an air cleaner without involving increase in the number of component parts and the man-days for installation and of maintaining a good sealing function for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The suction pipe structure 101 of the internal combustion engine is equipped with an air cleaner 54 to supply the purified air to the internal combustion engine, the connecting tube 103 tying the air cleaner 54 to the internal combustion engine, and locking projections 109 formed on the side wall 103a of the connecting tube 103, wherein on the wall surface of the air cleaner 54 confronting the connecting tube 103, a wall part 108 is integrally formed along the connecting tube 103, and this wall part 108 is furnished with a locking part 164 to lock the locking projections 109.
