PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the fluctuation in AC input current when higher harmonic waves are included in AC input voltage or the AC input voltage changes rapidly in power conversion using a rotating coordinate system. SOLUTION: In power conversion wherein power is converted between single-phase AC power and DC power by carrying out current control of a single-phase power converter in a rotating coordinate system, an input current value of the single-phase power converter is converted from a coordinate system at rest to a rotating coordinate system. Current control is carried out using the input current value converted into the rotating coordinate system, and a voltage control value for controlling a single-phase converter is formed. Furthermore, an input voltage value of the single-phase converter which has been converted into a rotating coordinate system is added to the voltage control value. Using the voltage control value biased by the input voltage value, the single-phase converter is controlled. By carrying out current control in a rotating coordinate system and adding the input voltage value of the single-phase converter which has been converted into a rotating coordinate system to the voltage control value formed by the current control, the fluctuation in AC input current is suppressed.
