PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lateral pushing type illuminated push-button switch which is easily miniaturized without causing destruction, peeling off from a mother board, damage or functional deterioration to an illumination function, even when a large impact due to falling or the like is applied. SOLUTION: This switch has a base part 22 in which a switch part is formed on the surface and a pair of solder pad parts 41 are formed on the back face, a switching operation member 25 to press-operate the switch part, a cover body 24 that covers above the switch part, has side plate parts 36 which is extended on right and left sides orthogonal to the sliding direction of the switching operation member 25, and that has cover fixed parts 38 extending neighboring from the lower end parts of these side plate parts 36 to the solder pad parts 41, and a light-emitting part 50 arranged on the back face side of the base part 22.
