PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite friction pile provided with projections formed on a surface of a core material of the composite friction pile, efficiently working against stratum. SOLUTION: This composite friction pile is constituted by changing diameters of soil cement columnar bodies C<SB>1</SB>-C<SB>3</SB>and extending the diameters of the soil cement columnar bodies up to relatively large size in the stratum being likely to generate peripheral face friction force in accordance with peripheral face friction performance between soil sections G<SB>1</SB>-G<SB>3</SB>and the soil cement columnar bodies C<SB>1</SB>-C<SB>3</SB>.
