PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-soluble solid drawing material which has high strength, a coloring material of which is excellently dispersed and which provides a drawn line not causing color irregularity even if it is traced with water. SOLUTION: The water-soluble solid drawing material is composed of at least a coloring material and a sulfonic acid-modified polyvinyl acetate or a partially saponified substance of the sulfonic acid-modified polyvinyl acetate, and further contains a body material such as talc and a lubricant in addition to the base materials. A suitable use amount of the sulfonic acid-modified polyvinyl acetate or the partially saponified substance of the sulfonic acid-modified polyvinyl acetate is in a range of 0.2-30 wt.% based on the whole solid drawing material.
