PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically control the operation of a fan inside a car while preventing dust accumulated in the fan inside the car from being blown out to the inside of the car at the stop of the operation. SOLUTION: The automatic control device for the fan in the elevator car is provided with the fan 16 installed in the car 12; a thermoswitch 33 for detecting the temperature in the car 12; a fan cleaning state registration switch 34 operated when the fan 16 is cleaned; a storage part 40 capable of storing a fan cleaning completion state only for a predetermined period of time by the operation of the fan cleaning state registration switch 34; and a processing part 38 for performing control to start the operation of the fan 16, based on an on-signal from the thermoswitch 33 and the fan cleaning completion state stored in the storage part 40.
