摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the tool fitting structure of a friction stir welding apparatus which is capable of preventing a tool from being detached from a holding means when drawing the tool from an object to be joined after the joining, and easily controlling the pressure of the tool against the object to a desired value. SOLUTION: One end of a rotary tool holder 37 is fitted to an FSJ gun main body 26. A fitting hole part 61 is formed in the other end, and a plurality of fitting passages 60 opened oppositely to the one end are formed on its circumferential surface with a space in the circumferential direction. A fitting tool 38 has a plurality of pin members 67, and is fitted to the tool holder by moving the pin members to a tip end part from the opening of each of the fitting passages 60, and fitting them thereto. A rotary tool 33 is inserted into the fitting tool. An attachment part formed the on one end of the rotary tool is fitted to the fitting hole part of the holding means.
