PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball entry device for game machines, which can facilitate the design of a flow passage and the adjustment of a winning rate by regulating a ball near a ball entry opening to fall in the left or right direction, can change the design of a playfield without changing the flow passage design and can secure the stability of a ball passage by firmly attaching an assist member. SOLUTION: A second start winning device 11 includes: a base plate 17 formed with a second start pocket 16 for entering a falling ball 23; a lower tongue member 18 which advances forward and retracts backward with respect to the second start pocket 16, receives the ball 23 in its advance state, guides it to the second start pocket 16 and, in its retract state, prevents the inflow of the ball 23; a solenoid 20 moving back and forth the lower tongue member 18; and a front plate 24 attached in front of the base plate 17 for assisting the inflow of the ball 23 to the second start pocket 16, wherein the front plate 24, at its rear face 24a, is disposed with a side rib 38 which forms a flow passage G for regulating the falling of the ball 23 to the left or right.
