摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration for reliably suppressing the influence of static electricity or the like that deteriorates display quality in a liquid crystal display device of an IPS system or the like. SOLUTION: A conductive path is formed on the surface of a glass substrate by irradiating the surface of the glass substrate with a metallic ion such as an Fe ion and an Ni ion at high concentrations, and conductivity is generated on the surface of the glass substrate which is originally insulated. The liquid crystal display device is configured so that the glass substrate 2 is disposed on an observer's side. A metallic conductive member 12 or the like is embedded for discharging static electricity to a ground 11 so that the influence of the static electricity generated on the surface is suppressed.
