PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent color unevenness from appearing nearby a parting line 7 of a display area 8 of a liquid crystal display device 10 having a transparent front substrate 4 and a liquid crystal panel 3 stuck together in one body with a photocuring type translucent adhesive 5. SOLUTION: The front substrate 4 projects to outside outer peripheral ends of one or both of translucent substrates constituting the liquid crystal panel 3 in plan view, and a light shield film 6 sectioning the display area 8 of the liquid crystal panel 3 is formed in a surface outer peripheral area of the front substrate 4 on the side of the liquid crystal panel 3, and has an outer light shielding film 6b in an area projecting to outside the outer peripheral ends of the one or both of translucent substrates constituting the liquid crystal panel 3 in plan view and an inner peripheral light shielding film 6a in an area inside the outer peripheral end in plan view, the inner peripheral light shielding film 6a having higher transmittance to light than the outer peripheral light shielding film 6b.
