PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate moire generated by the relation between a liquid crystal panel and a prism sheet, and to restrain front face brightness from getting low. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal is sandwiched between a signal line substrate 11 and an opposed substrate 12, a lower polarizing plate 14 is bonded to the signal line substrate, and an upper polarizing plate 13 is bonded to the opposed substrate. A backlight (part) is constituted of a light source 20, a light guide panel 21, a lower diffusion sheet 22, a lower prism sheet 23, and an upper prism sheet 24. The moire generated by the relation between the prism sheets 23, 24 and the signal line substrate 11 or the opposed substrate 12 is eliminated by a fly-eye lens array 30 bonded onto the lower polarizing plate 14.
