PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity joint sealing structure and method for reliably sealing a space between an outer race and a joint cover. SOLUTION: In a constant velocity joint, a large diameter cylinder portion 27 of the joint cover 25 is externally fitted to the side of a first end 18 of the bottomed cylindrical outer race 13, and an annular seal member 34 is provided in an annular groove 33 formed in an outer peripheral face 32 of the outer race 13 for sealing the space between the outer race 13 and the joint cover 25. On the side of the first end 18 of the outer race 13 beyond the annular groove 33, a flange portion 41 is formed having a diameter larger than the outer diameter of the seal member 34 being provided in the annular groove 33. The large diameter cylinder portion 27 is externally fitted to the flange portion 41 and caulked thereto so that a thrust portion 42 continuously thrusts the seal member 34 over its whole periphery.
