MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, BASE STATION APPARATUS, USER EQUIPMENT AND METHOD

A base station in a FDD mobile communication system comprises a control means that prepares, based on positional information of the base station, an indication signal indicating at least a frequency band to be used for wireless communication; and a means that performs wireless communication with user equipment in accordance with the indication signal. The user equipment extracts the indication signal from a control signal and performs wireless communication in accordance with the extracted indication signal. If the base station belongs to a predetermined region-boundary between mobile communication systems, then the indication signal indicates that the use of a part of a predetermined frequency band is permitted, while the use of another part of the predetermined frequency is prohibited. If the base station belongs to a predetermined non-region-boundary, then the indication signal indicates that both the use of the part of the predetermined frequency band and that of the other part thereof are permitted.
