A geographical information system, and street and security light on-line control system are provided to build a database about the record regarding maintenance of street and security light. A unique number(26) is assigned to each of security lights located all over the country. The on-site photo of a security light and the location information are stored in a control center(14), and the same data is stored in an electronic map DB(15) after inputting on an electronic map(18). The security light information with the electronic map is available through the internet(10) without restriction. A person checks the information about security light and reports a broken security light. The report is forwarded to a public service employee and a maintenance company, and the exact location of the broken security light is grasped based on the electronic map DB. The maintenance work is processed, and the finished work is informed to the control center through a PDA or a wireless terminal(13). |
