<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge head separating discharged liquid and foamed liquid by using a movable separation film, which is capable of forcibly circulating the foamed liquid in the liquid discharge head, without connecting to an external circulation mechanism, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid discharge head includes: a first flow path C1 which supplies the discharged liquid to a plurality of nozzles discharging the discharged liquid; a second flow path C2 which is liquid-tightly divided from the first flow path C1 through the movable separation film 7; and a plurality of heating elements 2 provided in the second flow path C2. The heating elements 2 emit heat energy, to produce foams in the foaming chamber C23 of the second flow path C2 and a liquid droplet is discharged from a discharge port by the displacement of the movable separation film 7 caused by the pressure of the foams. A pump 16 is provided in the second flow path C2 and the foamed liquid in the second flow path C2 is circulated by the pump 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
