PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display content associated with menu items without starting an application when a user selects the menu items, and to display the content according to layout corresponding to the content of the meta information of the content.

SOLUTION: The content display processing device 1 comprises: a menu generation unit 122 for displaying a plurality of user-selectable menu items in a menu display area 42 of a display unit; a menu selection detection unit 132 for detecting user's selection from the displayed menu items; and a content display instruction means for displaying one or more content items associated with the selected menu items in a content display area 43 of the display unit, upon detecting the user's selection.
