<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that can cool a sheet with an image fixed thereon and can minimize condensation on a sheet conveying path, and to provide an image forming apparatus having the fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device that heats and fixes an image formed on a sheet and conveys the sheet with the image fixed thereon includes: a lower conveying guide 102 having an opening 103 made through a sheet support face; a duct 105 formed separately from the lower conveying guide 102, used to cause air to flow for cooling a sheet being conveyed, and disposed opposite the sheet support face of the lower conveying guide 102. The duct 105 has a ventilation port 106 projecting toward the sheet conveying path.
