PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a target device capable of easily suppressing occurrence of blistering in a target. SOLUTION: This target device 5 is provided with a solid-state target 10 formed of a substance generating neutrons by being irradiated with a proton beam L, and a cooling plate 15 contacting the target 10, and is structured such that spiral grooves 17 closed by the target 10 and used for making cooling water W pass therethrough are formed on the cooling plate 15. In the target device 5, since the passages of the cooling water W drawing heat from the target 10 can be formed to contact the target 10, a proton beam immediately after passing through the target 10 can be captured by the cooling water W. Accordingly, occurrence of blistering in the target 10 can be suppressed, and occurrence of blistering caused by the proton beam L entering into another metallic member or the like can be reduced.
