PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a sound generated when an adjuster part slides. SOLUTION: A beam is characterized in that the beam has a body part 1 and the adjuster part 2 which can be stored in the body part 1, and is equipped with a slot hole 4 formed in the adjuster part 2 and a pin 5 inserted into the slot hole 4 and having both ends fixed on the body part 1, and a sound absorbing material 3B is provided on the end edge part 4b of the slot hole 4. The pin 5 and the end edge part 4b of the slot hole 4 are prevented from getting into direct contact with each other by the sound absorbing material 3B, and it is also possible to absorb the sound generated when the pin 5 collides with the sound absorbing material 3B.
