PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking supporting device enabling a driver to easily understand the relation between the position of an obstacle on a guide path to an initial parking position and a vehicle. SOLUTION: This parking supporting device comprises an obstacle detection means, an imaging means, a guide path setting means for setting a guide path to the initial parking position, a display means for displaying the initial position guide image, and a guide means for guiding to the initial parking position according to the guide path set by the guide path setting means. When an obstacle is detected by the obstacle detection means, an image photographed by an imaging means in a direction in which the obstacle is present is superimposed on the initial position guide image by the display means based on the relation between the position of the obstacle and the guide path set by the guide path setting means.
