PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire improved in uniformity by reducing the width of side sections to suppress the deformation of a belt. SOLUTION: This tire 28 comprises the belt 38 and a band 40 covering the belt 38. The belt 38 comprises belt plies 58, 60. The band 40 comprises a center section 68 and the pair of side sections 70 positioned on the axial outside of the center section 68. The end of the center section 68 is positioned inward of the end 62 of the belt ply 60 in the axial direction. The width with respect to the axial direction between the end 72 of the center section 68 and the end 62 of the belt ply 60 is 5-10 mm. The center section 68 is formed by spirally wrapping a wide ribbon in the circumferential direction. The side sections 70 are formed by spirally wrapping a narrow ribbon in the circumferential direction. The width of the narrow ribbon is smaller than the width of the wide ribbon.
