Provided is a motor controller which can suppress temperature rise of a three-phase motor by suppressing decrease in torque generated. Also provided is an electric brake booster. When an ECU determines that the temperature of a coil has reached a reference temperature (e.g. 170°C) predetermined based on the heat-resistant temperature (e.g. 180°C) of a coil or a component near the coil, rotation of a rotor is advanced such that the currents (of U, V and W phases) flowing through the coils (of U, V and W phases) are shifted from a maximum peak value, and rotation of a rotor is stopped at a position where the absolute values of the V and W phase currents are equal and the U phase current becomes 0 (lowest value) ((v) position where the liquid pressure exceeds 4 Mpa). Consequently, the temperature of a coil of W phase drops and an electric brake booster can suppress temperature rise of a motor coil.
|
