Disclosed are particles for a display medium, constituting the display medium, for use in an information display panel in which a display medium is sealed between two opposed substrates, at least one of which is transparent, and information such as an image is displayed by moving the display medium. The particles for a display medium are characterized by comprising composite particles obtained by adhering or fixing child particles onto the surface of mother particles, the mother particles having been obtained by heat-treating particles, produced by subjecting a resin-containing material to kneading, grinding, and classification, to spheroidize the particles. Also disclosed is an information display panel comprising the particles as a display medium. According to the above constitution, the child particles can be uniformly embedded in the surface of the mother particles, and the peeling-off of the child particles during the production of the information display panel or in repeated display rewriting can be suppressed.
