A camera device (1) is provided with an AF value calculating section (14), a focus position determining section (15) and an LED control section (16). The AF value calculating section (14) calculates an AF value from a camera image photographed by an imaging element (2), and the focus position determining section (15) determines a correct focus position based on the AF value. The LED control section (16) controls light emitting state of an LED (13) arranged on a device main body (4), and notifies a user of the correct focus position. Thus, focus adjustment operation can be supported by using a light emitting section arranged on the device main body, and focus adjustment can be easily performed by one operator.
