<p>The invention relates to a method for producing very high purity hydrogen from a load predominantly containing said hydrogen as well as a minor portion of impurity essentially consisting of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, methane and heavier hydrocarbons. The hydrogen-adsorption purification method includes a desorption step at a pressure lower than the load pressure, such as a PSA method, and can be used for producing the desorption flow and mainly for recovering the pressurised carbon dioxide and the high-purity hydrogen with a high yield. This performance is achieved by associating the successive steps of the method of the invention with the use of a new family of adsorbents whose dynamic capacity at a high desorption pressure is higher than that of traditional adsorbents. ® KIPO & WIPO 2009</p> |
